Undoubtedly adding his name to the list of legendary drivers, Max Verstappen claimed the 2023 Formula 1 Driver’s World Championship after the Qatar Sprint Race on Saturday 7th October.
The now 3x World Champion completely dominated the season and still shows no signs of stopping. His consecutive triumphs are more than enough evidence to promote Verstappen to the iconic name category of past (and current) formula 1 drivers.
It is obvious that his Redbull family have shown such unity and understanding with one another, to aid him to this achievement and though it is his name on the trophy there are many incredible people stood beside him that have earned this as well. Watching the team celebrate this victory is a truly heart-warming moment that should be appreciated and encouraged as their efforts are beyond all others. No matter the results of past events, Redbull Racing have truly shown that they are worthy victors.
To be a Formula 1 driver requires strength, both physically and mentally, and Max Verstappen has shown that even under fire from the media and certain opposing fans, he has the ability to come out on top no matter the situation off track. It is an admirable trait of Verstappen’s that he is able to identify and act upon events that are damaging to him, particularly mentally, which is something that is becoming more and more necessary in the current climate. Verstappen faces an absurd amount of hate and criticism for ridiculous reasons however, he should look past the ignorant words and actions aimed his way and rejoice in the knowledge that he is one of the best the world has ever seen! His advanced skills and unique personality are the perfect ingredients for an iconic champion.
