As we enter the second week of the Wimbledon Championship, the excitement on and off court is ever-growing. With countless tennis stars making their way closer to the coveted title we’ve seen a true display of the passion and skill behind the game of tennis.
It is no surprise that top seeds such as Sinner, Alcaraz and Djokovic have stormed through so far and even some of the slightly lower seeds such as Taylor Fritz have demonstrated just how impressive their energy and results are on court.
Despite the uncertainty of weather, the players safely covered on Court No.1 and Centre Court have given the audience a whirlwind of entertainment. From winning comebacks, 2 sets down to late night finishes this year’s Wimbledon championship has reminded the tennis world just how special a Grand Slam it is.
It’s not just the action on court that creates the magic atmosphere in the grounds. The infamous Wimbledon queue has been buzzing with thousands of hopeful fans each day, as some camp overnight or arrive in the early hours of the morning with the hope of seeing some of the action in person. The usual strawberries and cream spectacle has taken over, not just the diet of fans but also the fashion as hundreds attend in themed outfits.
The excitement will continue throughout the week as the title is not set to be in anyone’s hands just yet.
